Allow us to demonstrate our commitment to excellence!<br /> <br /> On July 28th I made an appointment to have my Subaru Forrester looked at for various concerns. This was my first time bringing my car to Morehart Chevrolet/Subaru in Durango (I typically have local independent mechanics work on my car). I had to bring it there due to the sunroof mechanism and since the dealership is a certified location I thought I would receive good service. Everything went as expected until I returned that same day only a few hours later and got into my car to leave. Immediately I noticed a large discoloration on my inner rearview mirror as well as the mirror not being fully connected to the windshield. When I went inside to inform the Service Manager/Coordinator Janet, she came outside, looked at the problem, and told me that this was something that could have already existed and that they had no accountability for the concern. She then proceeded to accuse me that it could have already been there and that there was no way it could have happened on their clock! I was appalled by her customer service and response being the honest person I am and first time customer. I was more concerned with my car not being in the condition I left it and the obstructed vision. She said I would have to come back tomorrow when the mechanic was there. I returned first thing the next morning. Janet was less than friendly with me. She proceeded to argue with me and I had to ask to speak with the mechanic personally as that’s why she instructed me to return. Austin the mechanic came out and greeted me pleasantly. We had a civil conversation and inspected my mirror as I explained it hadn’t been left in this condition. We talked in circles for a few minutes until I said that I didn’t come to argue, I came to hold them accountable for a solution, as I didn’t feel “it happened coincidentally because my car is 7 years old” and I said fixing it would be the solution. I was outraged (but acting civil) that I had to debate on two different occasions to be considered. They checked to see if the part was available, and then I was rudely told I needed to get all the “googley glob” hanging from my rearview off and that it would take an hour to fix if I wanted to wait. I opted for the shuttle since I was already an hour late for work, and as I was waiting outside Janet sped up in my car, mumbled the receipt was on my front seat and left. THANKS SUBARU and your standard of excellence!! Regardless, if you think you will receive good service from this certified service center and if respectful communication is at all a concern of yours, I advise you to think twice about going there. I will definitely be happy to drive to Farmington next time I need Subaru to look at my car. <br />
